Antonia Lofaso

Antonia Lofaso's food offers a chance to discover the possibilities within her. Food is what inspires curiosity. This was the result after she stepped outside of the Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally rich landscape that is Los Angeles. Cavatelli and Carnitas can be found to blend seamlessly with the food menu. This is a belief which has evolved over many years. However, what is consistent throughout her menu is an unifying view of the future that longingly remembers the previous. Inspired by her heritage as an Italian-American, Lofaso established Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 which was immediately well received. Lofaso's take on old-school Italian has been hailed as one of Los Angeles' most compelling Italian restaurants. Lofaso serves consistently delicious food at Scopa, a neighborhood favorite. The patrons call it authentic and satisfying. Lofaso apprenticed under culinary legends and absorbed their sophisticated techniques however she wasn't afraid of taking risks that were too high to be true to her own instincts. She soon rose to the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago after which she went further to collaborate with celebrities in various Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso joined forces together with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar, an upscale bar located situated in Studio City. She was able to secure an outlet in Black Market as well as the alliances she created. Her creative independence would be fostered by this collaborative effort. Black Market does not have a single direction, and this is its intention. One course may begin with chipped potatoes and peppers with dill, followed by Korean wings and meatballs. Antonia Lofaso, the cook behind this menu filled with mouthwatering and vibrant flavors, anchors it all. Lofaso in her entire career, has judged her performance by the degree to which she understands her viewers. She also stays in the same place she was. Alongside her unforgettable appearances of Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars, her distinctiveness was also praised outside of the kitchen. Today she continues to impress on the screen as an CNBC judge, and as a recurring character on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso teamed up in partnership with Penguin at the end of 2012 in order to release The Busy Mum's Cookbook 100 recipes for Delicious home-cooked Meals. This book also describes her struggles attending her first French Culinary Institute and raising her daughter Xea. Lofaso believes that the motivation that drives her success comes from the heart of the kitchen, and it's through this vein that she continues to have an eye on the pulse of. Chefletics, her new brand that is changing the way chefs dress. The brand combines fashion with functionality. What matters to Lofaso is staying true to your vision with this intention she is launching Antonia Lofaso Catering, which offers a more customized approach to providing clients with a distinctly personal experience.
