Anamaria Marinca, born in Romania, is an actress. Her debut on screen was Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film in which she won the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. She was in 2007 the lead role in as a character in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si2 (4 Months, 3 Weeks 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed by Cristian Mungiu. The film won two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize from the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a part of her work. In 2008, she played Yasim in BBC's Five-Episode The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role in The Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegel's highly popular Five Minutes of Heaven. She later as Irma's German grandmother in Fury, which was released in the year 2014.
